Questions
When does the CNB publish its rates?
Every working day after 14:30. The rate holds for that day; a weekend or holiday uses the rate of the last working day before.
Which rate goes into the tax return?
Either the CNB's daily rate on the day of each trade or dividend, or the uniform rate for the whole year that GFŘ sets by a pokyn under § 38 of the Income Tax Act. The uniform rate applies to the whole year alike.
How is a rate between two foreign currencies computed?
Through the crown: EUR/USD = the euro's rate in CZK ÷ the dollar's rate in CZK, both of the same day.
Can I put the CNB rates on my website?
Yes, for free: on the CNB rates page pick the currencies and the look and copy the widget's code.
