Tax return on shares and ETFs by broker
How to get the statement from your broker and what hedger computes from it for the return. Several brokers together in one return.
- Tax return from Interactive Brokers
- Tax return from Degiro
- Tax return from Trading 212
- Tax return from XTB
- Tax return from Fio e-Broker
What hedger computes from the statement
- Trades, dividends, withholding taxes, fees, interest, currency exchanges, deposits and withdrawals – every statement row that makes a tax or the portfolio's value.
- Each sale is paired with its buys (FIFO, or you pick the buys yourself), with its gain in crowns and the 3-year time test.
- The law allows the whole year at either the CNB's daily rates or the GFŘ's single annual rate – hedger computes both and marks the lower tax.
- The 100,000 CZK a year limit: when sales stay under it, their gain is tax-free; hedger shows how much of it is left.
- Foreign dividends with tax withheld abroad – credited only up to the rate the double-tax treaty with that country allows.
What you get for the return
- Annex 2 (§10, sales of securities, options and crypto) and Annex 4 (§8, foreign dividends and interest) with the line numbers.
- XML for EPO (the tax portal), a PDF of the figures and the list of tax paid abroad.
- Every number opens down to the statement line it came from – for you and for the tax office.
